Dr. Michael Frey attended the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona; where in 1973 he obtained a Bachelor of Science with a major in biology. He was then accepted into the Boston University School of Dentistry in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1978 he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine with an honors award. In that same year he entered private practice in Tucson and then in 1980 opened his own solo practice which he ran for 22 years.
During this time Dr. Michael Frey became a founding member and president of the Tucson branch of the Richard V. Tucker Cast Gold Study Club, which is internationally renowned for gold cast restorations. In 2002, Dr. Frey and his family moved to New Zealand where he practiced as an associate in Nelson between 2003 and 2006. Whilst in New Zealand he became interested in air abrasion micro dentistry. After visiting Queensland several times on holiday the climate and people of Bundaberg drew Michael and his wife Monica in and they finally moved to Bundaberg in 2007.
Queensland reminded Michael and Monica of their home state of Arizona due to the lovely weather, big sky and plenty of sunshine. They then chose Bundaberg for the great local atmosphere, weather, beaches and friendly community. The practice was opened in February, 2008 and has been successfully growing ever since.
